Jerud and I decided it was time to find an alternative source of heat compatible with our goal of being fossil fuel free (no propane, gas, or diesel). The option is a wood stove. While Tybee and Tyki haven't bonded in the sense that they lay around the house having to touch one another or share sticks to chew on or anything of that sort.
